When the Bible says the Spirit moved upon the “formless void,” which could also be translated as “chaos,” this describes what the earth was in the beginning. But as the Spirit moved, He brought forth a beautiful new creation. This is what He does when He moves. His specialty is to turn chaos into beautiful creations. Even the chaos we make out of our lives at times can become beautiful when He moves upon it.

The Spirit will not likely do things the way we would like for them to be done, because this would likely only end up in more chaos. So, our goal must be to know Him and follow Him, not our own ways.

Even with all of our technological advances, the world is heading toward increasing chaos. As the chaos increases, it will be increasingly obvious that there is only one remedy for it: the Holy Spirit moving. Even in the church, we hardly know the Holy Spirit, but this is going to change for the humble, the teachable, and those who become desperate to know and follow the Holy Spirit. As we see in Revelation 3:20-21, He stands at the door, outside of His own church, knocking. Those who hear and open to Him will receive the greatest reward given to any of the churches.

The Holy Spirit is the Gift of the Father, sent by the Father, to be our Helper. We are going to increasingly understand how badly we need His help as these times unfold. We now need to start giving the Holy Spirit the attention He deserves in our lives. What would be the impact of just a few Christians starting to live as if they are filled by the Spirit? The Holy Spirit loves to fix the chaos we’ve created, because He loves us with the love of the Father. The Father loves us so much He sent His beloved Son to sacrifice Himself to redeem and reconcile us to “our” Father.

If we’ve ever witnessed a person demon possessed, we will likely remember it for a long time, perhaps even for the rest of our lives. If demons can have this kind of impact from dwelling in a person, should we not be in even more awe when we meet someone filled with the Spirit of God? Of course, those filled with the Spirit of God will not be known for their raging insanity but for their astonishing and profound sanity, as the Spirit of Truth manifests the truth—the ultimate reality—through them. This truth includes that nothing is impossible for God, and He can fix any chaos we create through His Spirit He sent to us.

If we have come to know the reality of the Spirit abiding in us, how can we be intimidated by any chaos? Such will have a peace in their life more powerful than chaos, and that will begin to dispel the insanity that manifests through all who do not know and follow Him. If we have the Spirit of God in us, we have the answer to every problem in us. He wants to use us to turn the madness of these times into beautiful new creations. So, let us resolve to see every problem as an opportunity for Him, and for us to grow in our ability to follow Him to face the chaos.

Those who follow the Spirit will be releasing miracles, revival, and life everywhere they go, just like Jesus did. They will turn the chaos we tend to make of our lives into glorious new creations. The greatest artists of all are the disciples of Christ who are led by Him to turn every day into a masterpiece of life. Have you met one of these? Have you understood that you are called to be such a one?

Presently, there aren’t that many true disciples of Christ, but if you have met one, they likely rocked your world. They go about turning this upside-down world right side up. That’s the nature of the Jesus they follow. So, why not be one of these who brings to the world the most desperately needed medicines of these times—hope and faith?

Those who respond to the call to be a disciple of Jesus will become like Him, going about doing good, healing and delivering all who were oppressed by the devil, and preaching the Truth that sets people free. If we have the Spirit of God living in us, we have this power within us. Is He manifesting Himself through us?
