We are continuing our look at some of “The 40 Prophecies” the Lord gave me prior to MorningStar's 2022 Vision Conference. Some of these have already been fulfilled, but I believe we will continue to see more fulfilled this year and beyond.

Some of the prophecies I received had to do with potential natural disasters. I previously shared this: “Revealing the drastic divide between the Left Coast and Middle America, we will see bizarre weather extremes which will be blamed on climate change. We will see extreme fires in the Western U.S. and extreme flooding in the Eastern U.S.”

This prophetic word has already been fulfilled, but there may be more fulfillment to come. In August 2023, the Hawaiian island of Maui was ravaged by the most devastating wildfire in the U.S. in a century (McAvoy, 2023). During that same month, Idalia, a category 3 hurricane, tore into Florida, bringing major flooding and significant damage (Spencer, 2023). The following month, New York City also experienced extreme flooding and broke historical records when over seven inches of rain fell on the region in less than 24 hours, shutting down subways and making “streets into rivers” (Chow, 2023). In response to these natural disasters, U.S. President Joe Biden blamed climate change (Reuters, 2023).

While this word has technically already been fulfilled, it is likely to be a pattern that either continues or increases in severity in the years to come because the “drastic divide” in American values is becoming more severe—not less severe—over time. As a “sign prophecy,” this prophetic word is not really about the weather, but about a national division between those who hold traditional biblical values and those who have abandoned them. The weather serves as a sign to draw our attention to this division.

Not all divisions are bad. Jesus said, “I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother…’” (see Matthew 10:34). The values and the culture of those who serve God will never be able to merge with the values and culture of the godless. This is why Paul tells us to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness” (see Ephesians 5:11). Yet, we are not without hope. The best way to reconcile our nation and heal our divisions is to earnestly pray for a national spiritual awakening.

The same Jesus who said “Peace! Be Still!” to the raging storm lives in us (see Mark 4:39). Catastrophic weather arises for the same reason that illness and disease arise; all of creation is under the curse of sin and death. When we pray for creation, our prayers are rooted in the atonement of Jesus Christ, who shed His blood not only to forgive our sins and heal our diseases but also to restore creation and remove the curse from it entirely.

I also shared this word: “As part of the major flooding in the Eastern U.S., I saw a dam burst which caused even more severe flooding. This will be a natural sign of another dam about to break in government corruption and lies, which also can no longer be contained.”

This word has not been fulfilled, but there has been global precedence for such events. Although not a direct fulfillment of this word, it is notable that 2023 saw two neglected dams in northeast Libya break following extreme rainfall, unleashing a devastating flood in Derna. Over 5,000 people are believed to have been killed, with thousands more missing (Ebrahim, 2023). A flood in India’s Himalayan northeast, triggered by a glacial lake overflow, also destroyed a major hydroelectric dam, killing at least 41 people, displacing thousands, and raising concerns about dam safety (Sharma, 2023).

With allegations surrounding the Biden family’s financial dealings and the White House deflecting accusations, it seems that “the corruption dam” is indeed about to break for Joe Biden (Devine, 2023). We have yet to witness a major dam breaking in the United States since this word was first shared, and the full extent of the Biden family’s corruption remains to be revealed, awaiting the moment when the flood of truth washes away the dam of lies.

Dams and walls are very similar in their symbolic value. For example, just as a well-built wall can hold back enemies, a well-built dam can hold back floodwaters. In each case, the structure’s integrity must be maintained, because any weakness will be exploited. Likewise, leaders dealing in corruption and lies may feel certain that they have built strong defenses against ever being exposed and that there will be no “leaks” about what they have done. But for the greater good of the nation, the Lord will cause this false security to fall apart.

Ask the Father to expose lies and reveal corruption so that a wave of reformation, renewal and repentance can sweep through the United States government. Ask the Lord to “take the death out” of any potential disasters involving a collapsed dam, so there will be no serious casualties—even when the Lord allows the dam to break as a “sign prophecy” indicating His plans.

Join me in praying about these prophecies. We only “know in part and prophesy in part” (see 1 Corinthians 13:9), but we can pray into these things and ask God to give us wisdom for whatever comes.
