The life and death of Terri Schiavo was a remarkable and important prophetic event that captured the attention of not only the entire nation, but much of the world. The issues raised by this sad tragedy are some of the most basic issues related to both righteousness and justice, which can affect us all. If the church is to be “the light of the world” then we must address the important events of our time with the light of God’s truth, which is clearly established in the Scriptures.

There is a reason why the first test of Solomon’s wisdom...

The passing of Pope John Paul II is a major event because we have all lost one of the most remarkable leaders of our time. I am not a papist and do not believe that any man on earth should be called “the head of the church,” which is the rightful place of Christ alone. However, I do not doubt that John Paul II was a man of God that all Christians should be thankful for and should rightly mourn. I checked and it was a beautiful day, and all who were in the room knew that it was right for her to go outside immediately. There was great joy in this, and we knew that it would be a very big event. The dream ended as we were about to open the door for her.

    INTERPRETATION:

    I knew even when I...

If you believe the news media, the war in Iraq has been an unmitigated disaster. I disagree. In fact, I think it will prove to be one of the greatest victories for freedom and democracy since the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is also in Iraq that some of the greatest, most noble soldiers in the war for the liberation of the oppressed are now arising—the citizens of Iraq who will soon risk their lives to vote.

America, the great seedbed and hope for freedom and democracy around the world, barely had a 60 percent turnout of voters in...
