As we have been covering the last few weeks, the church now stands on the brink of one of the most important advances in history. It is an advance that must take place. If the church continues to wander in the wilderness, it will only wither away. We are called to be sojourners, but not nomads. Sojourners travel to a destination, while nomads just wander. We are coming to the destination that the entire church age has been preparing us for and now we must cross over.
It is true that some of the greatest revivals and spiritual advances in...

As we previously covered, the Israelites did not go willingly in the baptism represented by the crossing of the Red Sea. The Lord basically had to trick them into it, giving them no other alternative because of the enemy that pursued them. However, the baptism represented by the crossing of the Jordan was a voluntary one and would begin the pursuit of their enemies to drive them from their land. This was not just because the circumstances had changed, but because the people had changed during their long sojourn in the wilderness.
The church has likewise seemingly wandered in the...

More than two decades ago the Lord spoke to me and some of my friends that the cross would become popular again. This will be the time when the church truly crosses over and begins to possess its Promised Land. We have come to that time. Therefore, we can expect the focus of what the Spirit is saying to the churches to become more and more centered on the cross.
The cross is the power of God, and those who want to walk in His power in their daily lives will learn to take up their crosses daily. Those who...

Sunday, January 23, 2005 - 19:002005-01-24 00:00:00The Liberty of DeathJan244The Liberty of Death
For the last two weeks we have discussed how the Jordan River, which represents death, overflowed all of its banks all of the days of the harvest. We also discussed how we are going to have to learn to deal with much death in our times, but keep on functioning and pursuing our purpose.
Israel had to cross the Jordan River to enter their Promised Land, which speaks of how we must enter into the baptism of the death of the cross before we can attain the promises. This is where the church has now come. We are at a...

Sunday, January 16, 2005 - 19:002005-01-17 00:00:00Victory Over DeathJan173Victory Over Death
Last week we discussed how the Jordan River, which represents death, overflowed all of its banks all the days of the harvest. This was a prophetic sign that during the harvest (the end of the age), we can expect death to be overflowing all of its banks. However, when the Ark and the people of Israel entered into the Jordan, it says that its waters were rolled back all the way to Adam. This speaks about how when the church follows the Lord into the crucified life where we die daily, no longer living for ourselves but for Him, it...
