This week’s verse, Ephesians 3:13, has proven hard to understand for many modern, Western Christians. Paul writes, “Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory.” It is understandable that he would ask them not to lose heart when they saw their apostle suffering tribulations, but how are they suffering on behalf of the Ephesian Christians, or for their glory? In Acts 14: 21-22 we read concerning Paul’s missionary journey:
And after they...https://publications.morningstarministries.org/word-for-the-week/tribulations-and-glory -

Last week we discussed Ephesians 3:10, which explains our calling to be witnesses to principalities and powers. The next verse states that , “This (being a witness to principalities) was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Therefore, this is something we must take seriously. This also keeps us in touch with the perspective that our actions on earth have consequences in the heavenly realm. As we mature in Christ, the spiritual realm and the interaction between earth and heaven, should become...

Last week we studied how the mystery of God’s grace that was revealed through Christ was made plain through Paul’s ministry. The next verse, Ephesians 3:10, adds a significant and remarkable reason why this must be done:
in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.
Most evangelical Christians learn how to witness to other people soon after their conversion, but how many are taught about our calling to...https://publications.morningstarministries.org/word-for-the-week/witnessing-principalities -

This week we will continue our study with Ephesians 3:7-9:
I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power.
Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

Sunday, April 28, 2002 - 20:002002-04-29 00:00:00An Inclusive VisionApr2918An Inclusive Vision
We now begin an important part of our journey through the book of Ephesians. In the first two chapters the apostle Paul sowed the seeds of a glorious and expansive vision of what Christians are called to be. For the rest of the epistle he lays out a practical plan for how this is achieved. We continue our study now with Ephesians 3:1-6:
For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles–
