One night, I could not go to sleep. The Lord began downloading a message to me about the mystery of God being completed. This also ties into the story of the seven thunders in Revelation 10.
Revelation 10:1-4 says, “I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, ‘Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.’”
When the lion roared and the voices of thunder boomed, something was released in the earth. What was released had to be sealed. It is grace that will be released in time. It is a sound from heaven that will awaken the DNA of God's people.
Revelation 10:5-7 says, “The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.”
When a special grace is released in these seven thunders, it will eliminate all resistance and every delay to the plans and purposes of God. It will happen before the coming of the Lord to activate and awaken something in the remnant of believers. There will be no more delay in all of God’s promises for which we have been believing, including the greater works Jesus prophesied we would do (see John 14:12).
We don't know what was said when the seven thunders sounded in Revelation 10. However, we do know it was the language of heaven that brought spirit and life and activation and awakening. The mystery of God will be finished when this is released.
The word mystery can also be defined as “secret.” The mystery or secret of God will be revealed to those who fear Him. We are called as the body of Christ to fellowship with this mystery—to seek it out, study, and learn it.
There are things about the Lord and His ways that are mysterious to us. However, when the mystery is completed and the sound from heaven reverberates in the DNA of God’s people, it will awaken something the church has not yet experienced corporately.
The first time the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, there was a sound from heaven described as a rushing, mighty wind. But Paul said this Pentecostal outpouring in Acts 2 was only the down payment, the earnest of our inheritance (see Ephesians 1:13-14). If we have only received the earnest of our inheritance, the greatest outpouring of the Spirit is yet to come.
Paul writes in I Corinthians 2:7-9, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’”
When the lion roars and the seven thunders sound, we will see the mystery of God completed. This will be fully revealed by the Holy Spirit. We will be ready to birth the manifestation of the sons of God that all creation groans for (see Romans 8:18-19). The best days are ahead of us!
