This week, I want to revisit some of the 40 prophecies the Lord showed me prior to the 2022 Vision Conference at MorningStar. I believe we are getting closer to their potential fulfillment this year, especially in light of the “Rebirth of America Dream” I shared a few weeks ago.
I urge you to continue to pray about the future of the United States and the events I saw. As I have previously mentioned, God can give us visions and dreams so that we know what to pray about. Seeing something in a dream or vision is not a guarantee something will happen as shown. Our prayer can lessen the severity of or even prevent what is shown. We saw that with the people of Nineveh, whom God spared when they repented after listening to a prophetic word from Jonah (see Jonah 3:10).
I want to address a topic that is continuing to grab headlines these days: illegal immigration—and in particular, people illegally coming into the U.S. from Mexico.
Here is one of the 40 prophecies I first shared in 2022: “I saw a worsening immigration problem across our southern border. The illegal immigrant situation will culminate in an epic border crisis/showdown.” This has been partially fulfilled.
Hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossings occur at the border on a monthly basis. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested “over 137,000 migrants who crossed the U.S. southern border unlawfully in March, down from nearly 141,000 in February” (Montoya-Galvez). These numbers, of course, do not include anyone who illegally crossed the border without being arrested. We do not know exactly how many people have crossed the border illegally so far.
We stand at a critical point with the southern border issue, witnessing a significant surge in illegal border crossings in 2023 which continues today. This has already prompted 15 state governors to send National Guard soldiers to the border (Mayer, ). Yet, an impending “epic border crisis/showdown,” which presumably would involve a much larger mobilization of border agents, law enforcement, or military units, has not yet occurred.
Here is another prophecy I shared in 2022: “There will come a tipping point for the United States. Something—or someone—will cross the U.S. southern border, and when what they are doing is brought to light, it will be so terrible and horrendous that it will force both political parties to get aggressive in protecting our borders.”
This has not been fully fulfilled, and I am asking you to pray against it. Unfortunately, some people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border have had criminal intentions beyond just illegal immigration.
There has been a significant increase in migrants whose identities match those in the Terrorist Screening Data Set—the U.S. terror watchlist—being caught at the southern border. In Fiscal Year 2023, border agents encountered 169 individuals on this watchlist at the southern border, and 69 so far in 2024 (CBP). Just last month, an illegal immigrant from Lebanon claimed he had been trained by Hezbollah and planned to “make a bomb” (Taer).
In a surprising reversal, President Joe Biden approved the continuation of former President Donald Trump’s border wall (Owen). Officials in some sanctuary cities have also changed their attitudes toward migrants after receiving hundreds of thousands of them in a short period of time (Lee). This is perhaps the very beginning of the political shift this prophetic word suggests.
In spite of the Biden administration’s plan to continue the southern border wall construction, we have yet to see both political parties truly “get aggressive in protecting our borders” due to a traumatic event at the southern border. While the prophetic word I received was about our border with Mexico, it is also worth noting there has been a record increase in the number of people sneaking across the Canadian border within the past year (Moller).
The description of this threat as “terrible and horrendous” implies that it is driven by demonic powers or a demonic ideology. Whether these risks come from Islamic terrorism, Mexican cartels, or someone else, effective spiritual warfare through prayer, worship, and prophetic declaration can help pave the way for intelligence agencies, border agents, and law enforcement to catch dangerous intruders who might otherwise move undetected. Pray specifically to bless our intelligence agencies, border agents, and police officers. Pray for quick discovery and apprehension of terrorists and criminal intruders at the border—or wherever they are hiding in America.
In 2 Kings 6, Elisha and his servant Gehazi were surrounded by the enemy, the Syrians. When Gehazi’s eyes were opened, he could see into the realm of the Spirit. The hills around them were filled with angels who dramatically overwhelmed the Syrians.
There’s an important lesson to be learned here: Our victory over very real enemies begins with our ability to look at everything through a prophetic filter. Then we can gain the understanding that God is still on the throne, He has a clear plan, and He is waiting for us to pray so that He can release many angels on our nation’s behalf.
