The Watchman’s Journal Episode 22: Creation Series, Part 3/4: "Discerning the Spiritual Significance of Weather Patterns"

🌊 In this prophetic episode of The Watchman’s Journal, host Michael Fickess and producer Clifton Gadbois explore how extreme weather events, such as the recent catastrophic floods in Texas and elsewhere, can function as prophetic signs in the unfolding of end-time events.

Originally recorded in late June, this message now speaks with fresh urgency. As part of our Summer Creation Series, it calls on prophetic watchmen to pay close attention to what’s happening in Creation, seek the Lord for understanding, and respond in prayer with discernment and boldness.

Anchored in the prophetic legacy of Rick Joyner and MorningStar Ministries, this episode is a timely reminder that natural events often carry spiritual messages—and it’s time for the watchmen to rise.

Reflection Questions:

1.  Why is it important to understand our role as priests of God who have been given the authority to bless other people and to bless creation?  In ways is praying with authority and declaring a blessing different than a prayer of petition?  When do you use each kind of prayer?

2. Why is it important to discern the difference between weather as a holy sign from God, weather as a demonic manifestation, and "regular" weather?  What are the dangers of spiritualizing every storm?  What are the dangers of dismissing the possibility of a storm having spiritual roots or implications?

3.  Is our culture too divorced from creation? Why is it important to actually watch what is happening in the sky and in other aspects of creation in order to recognize and interpret what is happening?

4. Have you ever experienced weather that you understood to be a sign from the Lord with a clear message?  How did you respond?

5. Have you ever experienced weather that you understood to be dangerous or even potentially an attack from the enemy (like the storm that threatened to sink the boat just before Jesus calmed the lake)?  How did you respond?
