This week, I would like to revisit more of the 40 prophecies the Lord shared with me a couple years ago. Some of them specifically had to do with the 2024 U.S. presidential election, so this is the year we may see them fulfilled.

We are in a vital year in the history of our country. As I shared when discussing my recent dream about the rebirth of America, I believe we are in for a tumultuous year—but also a year that will ultimately lead to a positive outcome for the nation.

Here is one of the 40 prophecies I shared: “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will not be the leading Democratic Party ticket in the next election cycle. I saw a man winning the Democratic nomination, but it was not Joe Biden.”

It is too early to judge whether this word will be fulfilled. However, there are some indications that President Biden’s reelection is not a given.

At the time of this writing, President Biden holds the lowest approval rating compared to George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump in the same period (Real Clear Politics). Harris holds an even lower approval rating than the president. According to a poll from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, just 37% of Democrats say they want Biden to seek a second term, down from 52% in the weeks before the midterm elections (Boak).

On the other hand, California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s declaration he will not run for president contradicts his actions. He’s been meeting with influential Democratic groups nationwide, participating in substantial fundraising, involving himself in national issues such as immigration, abortion, climate change and gun control, and vocally opposing Republicans. This sparks suspicion about his potential presidential candidacy (Lightman).

The Democratic National Convention will confirm its presidential nominee in Chicago August 19-22. While Biden is the presumptive nominee, more than a few prominent Democrats have suggested the party should nominate someone else.

There have also been recent issues with Biden possibly being excluded from election ballots in Alabama and Ohio. The candidate certification deadline in Alabama is August 7, and in Ohio, August 15, a week to two weeks before the DNC will name its nominee. The states would have to pass legislation to make exceptions for any candidate confirmed at the DNC (John).

I also previously shared this prophetic word: “President Joe Biden's health will continue to fail. I do not wish him harm. I pray for him. I pray for God to remove him, but I also pray for him and his salvation and for him to become a Saul of Tarsus figure. He will lose power, and it will be convenient for the Democrats to not have him leading the 2024 ticket. He will attempt to redeem his failed presidency by making a woman president for the first time. I have seen Kamala Harris at the helm, but only for a short time—weeks or months.”

This partially seems to align with existing concerns about Biden’s age, health, and ability to handle the inherent stress of the presidency. He will turn 82 this November and holds the distinction as the oldest person to have been elected president of the United States, which also makes him the oldest sitting U.S. president.

Although Democratic leaders largely seem to support Biden, many acknowledge concerns about his advanced age and low approval ratings. A poll has revealed that 68% of voters expressed worries, including 55% with “major” concerns, about Biden’s health. Notably, concerns about his ability to hold office have grown among Democrats, from 21% in 2020 to 43% in 2023 (Todd).

Prominent Democrats have raised questions regarding Biden’s age and expressed concerns about his health. Some within the party are withholding their support for Biden’s 2024 candidacy for this reason (Olorunnipa).

While there have been ongoing concerns about the president’s health within the Democratic Party, we have yet to see Democrats dismissing him as their 2024 presidential candidate, which would officially pave the way for Harris to become the first woman U.S. president.

We do not delight in the illness or suffering of anyone, but the Bible shows us that the Lord will sometimes allow these things to raise up or tear down leaders according to His sovereign will (see Jeremiah 1:10). There is biblical precedent for the Lord afflicting a leader to accomplish His greater purpose. For example, the Lord struck King Nebuchadnezzar with madness to humble him because of his godlessness and pride (see Daniel 4). Likewise, Jesus struck Paul with blindness to turn his heart from persecuting Christians to being a great apostle (see Acts 9). Similarly, the Lord may use President Biden’s mental decline or other health issues to accomplish His greater purposes—which may include the disqualification of Biden from running for reelection.

I encourage you to pray about the 2024 election, as its outcome is vital for the future of the nation. There are many different cases in the Bible where the Lord removes one leader to make room for a more righteous leader. The most well-known example of this is when God removed Saul from power to make room for David, a “man after God’s own heart,” to become king.

It is likely that most Christians plan to support the candidate in 2024 who is the strongest advocate for biblical values and governance. However, we should pray fervently for the nominees of both major political parties. Pray that the nominees for both the Republican and the Democratic parties in 2024 will be “men after God’s own heart,” just as David was.
