On June 1, 2026, I had a prophetic dream about a 747 jumbo jet that I was flying in making a crash landing. This dream was an accurate depiction of what MorningStar Ministries has gone through over the last couple of years and where we are now. I cannot say at this time what its connection is to the prophetic movement or the wider body of Christ, except that, as we’re told, one part of the body affects the whole. But the principles highlighted in this dream are very timely.
The interpretation of this dream came gradually over nearly two weeks. I submitted it on our MorningStar app, and many great insights came from many people about specific parts of the dream. The overall message came slowly, in pieces, and then suddenly it was so obvious I couldn’t believe it took so long to see it. That, too, is part of the message.
The Dream
In the dream, I was going to meet a few people at a train station. Among them was the person who was going to succeed me as the leader of MorningStar. At the station, we boarded a train, but it turned out to be a 747 jumbo jet.
I was taken to a seat at the front of the plane, which would normally have been first class, but all the seats were coach size. I was okay with it, but I wondered why I had not been asked to sit in the cockpit, since I was the only one who had flown this plane, and those in this group had never flown any plane. I decided to trust the Lord, sat down, and fell asleep.
I woke up hearing a loud crashing noise. I looked out the window, and I could see trees and houses go by. We were in a crash landing. When the plane came to a stop, I looked for the crew to start helping the passengers deplane, but no one came. After a couple of minutes, I told the passengers that we had to get out and opened the cabin door. I looked for the slides that should have deployed, but there were none. I looked straight down and saw concrete steps right under the door, but the first step would require us to help each other down to it. We got everyone safely out.
While helping the passengers to the ground, I noticed many fuel leaks around the engines. I told everyone to get away from the plane in case it caught on fire. I then walked back to more closely examine the plane and saw that there did not seem to be any damage to it, except for the fuel leaks. As I looked behind the plane at the wide swath it had cut through the forest, I knew I was looking at a great miracle. I knew the plane would fly again.
I then noticed a deep gash in the middle of the otherwise smooth path the plane had made through the forest. I saw a few houses scattered among the broken trees, but they did not seem to have any damage either, except for being knocked off their foundations.
While I was looking at all of this, I saw the crew standing in a circle under the tail of the plane. As I approached them, I could hear them discussing what their alibi would be. When they saw me, they looked embarrassed and quit talking. I asked them why they had crash-landed the plane and why they needed an alibi. One of them blurted out that they had panicked and crashed because of a minor problem that did not even require them to land.
I then looked back again at the path the plane had cut through the forest and noticed it had first touched down on the top of a steep hill, slid straight down the hill, and continued in a straight line to where it now was. I was amazed how smooth the swath it had cut through the forest was and how it could easily be made into a runway to fly the plane out, after the deep gash down the middle was repaired. Then, I woke up.
Interpretation
I and others have had a few dreams over the years in which MorningStar was portrayed as a 747 jetliner. It’s obvious the plane in this dream represents MorningStar, as the events in it so accurately portray events specifically that we have gone through over the last couple of years. If there is an application to the prophetic movement, or the wider body of Christ, it would be portrayed as the landscape that was so damaged and scarred by this crash.
Trains and train stations usually represent “training,” or schools, and I think they do in this dream. I have been shown many times how a main purpose of MorningStar was to be a “School of the Spirit.” Everything we do is to be used to train and equip others in the ways of the Spirit.
As a professional pilot, I used to think of my office being the sky. I was also a flight instructor who taught mostly advanced flying through airline ratings. I received great satisfaction from helping people advance in their careers as pilots, but this could not even compare to seeing them grow in the Lord and His ways, as I am now called to do.
MorningStar was basically doing in the Spirit what I had done in the natural with my aviation business. I considered that I had the best job, and maybe the best life, one could have. I sometimes joked that I was afraid I had it so good here that I might get penalized in heaven.
Then, I started having people tell me I needed to find a successor. I started to think my life here was nearing its end, and I was excited about that, too. I had experienced heaven enough that I could not wait to get there, but that was by no means because I was not happy and grateful for what I was doing here. Even so, I had also been shown by the Lord that impatience was my “biggest flaw.” When I took the mandate to find a successor, I was resolved to get it done. No doubt I rushed it.
I think Chris Reed has a very high calling. I think he can eclipse anything I’ve done. He also has some significant issues that must be overcome. Overcoming them will strengthen him where he needs it most. “The Lord’s strength is made perfect in weakness,” and we all have weaknesses that can become our strengths. I would be honored to help Chris any way I can. I have been told not to consider anyone beyond the power of the cross to redeem and restore, and I seek to have much more faith in the cross than in people’s opinions.
Likewise, I see this circumstance we’re now in: we need to heal this great scar on the landscape of the prophetic and turn it into a runway that we can launch our plane from again—and that many others can then use to launch. This is possibly the greatest opportunity yet to see the power of God’s redemption and restoration demonstrated.
I expect to soon be flying people higher and further than ever. I pray for the grace to never stop believing in anyone and to turn crisis into an opportunity. We will fly again, and we’ve been given something that will carry a lot of people. If you want to join us, we’ll save you a seat. It will be an adventure, but we won’t stop until we get to where we’re called to go.
