    The Army of God Mobilizes, Part 33
    by Rick Joyner

    Last week we ended our study by asking the questions about knowing our purposes, ministries, gifts, etc., which we have been given by God. If our Word for the Week readers are typical, only about 2 percent could answer all of these questions with “yes,” and less than 10 percent could answer any of them with “yes.” This is remarkable because studies have concluded that the number one question that people have is what their purpose is in life. Every human being knows inherently that they are not here by some random accident, but they have a purpose. Yet most...

    We have been studying the important ability of mobilizing God’s people into the army they are called to be and how what is finished after they are gathered is just as important as gathering them. Presently, we have many who can mobilize large numbers of people, but few who have the vision, wisdom, or resolve to then build them into the force they are called to be, which is to equip them according to the Ephesians 4 mandate. This is not true of all, but of most.

    Every Christian is called to ministry. Every Christian is given a measure of Christ’s nature to manifest as a part of His body, as is stated in Ephesians 4:11-16:

    And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and  teachers,

    for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;

    until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature

    The stages in the development of an army are the following:

    PHASE 1: The Call or Mobilization – The call into the Lord’s army begins with our own redemption, salvation, and devotion to live for the Lord and His purposes.

    PHASE 2: Training and Maturity – This consists of growing up in the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord, which is the renewing of our minds to think as He thinks and to see as He sees. This is done by the Holy Spirit, who is our Helper and whose anointing “teaches us all things.” This...

    People mobilize for a cause, and then they follow leaders in pursuit of that cause. In the case of an army, the possibility of future conflicts could result in injury or even death, so for one to mobilize, there must be a high degree of belief in the cause. To endure the daily discipline and training that is required to become part of an army also requires a continuing, deepening, and enduring devotion to the cause. Articulation of the cause and then building on the foundation of devotion to a noble cause is crucial for leadership.

    In Christ, we...
