The Maturing Process of the Prophetic - The Prophetic Experiences, Part 6
    by Rick Joyner

We have been discussing Christian maturity in relation to the prophetic—especially how it can impact the way we interpret impressions. On the impression level of prophetic revelation, the immature can be prone to mix in their own feelings, even when they are temporary such as caffeine withdrawal, prejudices for good or bad, and opinions. It does take the kind of experience that can only come from maturity to learn to separate what the Holy Spirit may be impressing upon us and what are our own senses.

Standards of Christian Living - The Prophetic Experiences, Part 5
    by Rick Joyner

True Christian discipleship is a life of sacrifice, not acquiring. This does not mean that we should not provide well for our families, as we are also told in I Timothy 5:8, “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.” However, there is a difference between providing for our families and being materialistic, greedy, or even immoderate.

There is a ditch on either side of the path of life. The overreaction to Christians who...

True Prophetic Impressions Reflect God’s Character - The Prophetic Experiences, Part 4
    by Rick Joyner

Prophetic impressions are the most basic prophetic revelation and are usually the way that the Lord begins to speak to us. This seems to be because we are called to be His friends, and He wants us to feel what He feels, not just be automatons who do what He tells us. God created man to have fellowship with Him, and He is seeking messengers who will share His heart for the message.

Here is the potential stumbling block—it is an ultimate presumption for a prophetic person to think that God feels the same...

Healing and Prophetic Compassion - The Prophetic Experiences, Part 3
    by Rick Joyner

The high priest in the Old Testament had bells and artificial pomegranates on the hem of his garment. These were sown interchangeably so that when he walked, the bells would strike the pomegranates and sound off. In this way, you could always tell where the high priest was when he was moving about. We see this in Exodus 28:33-35:

And you shall make on its hem (the high priest’s garments) pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet material, all around on its hem, and bells of gold between them all around:

We Prophesy by Faith, Not by Method - The Prophetic Experiences, Part 2
    by Rick Joyner

Please keep in mind that I am sharing my experiences and perspectives of the prophetic, but other prophetic people may experience these differently. Just as the Lord made us all unique as people, and our experiences in life are all unique, our experiences in Him are all unique, too. Every prophet in Scripture was different and seemed to receive revelation in different ways. There are common factors and characteristics, but we must also be open for the Lord to do the unique. After all, He is the Creator, and He likes to be creative!
