We have addressed what our nation’s Founders considered the three biggest threats to the Republic, which have now taken us over:

         1. Judicial tyranny

         2. The people learning that they could vote for the resources of the

             treasury themselves

         3. Losing the religion and morality necessary for a people to govern

             themselves

We cannot just blame others for this when “we the people” are the sovereign; if it happened, we allowed it. When darkness increases, Christians must take a share of the blame for not being the light they are called...

We named two of the three crises that the Founders considered the greatest threat to the Republic. This week we will address the third threat, which is by far the most serious: turning away from The Lord.

A major factor that forced this upon the nation was the Supreme Court, which violated the Constitution to force radical social re-engineering on the country. Another culprit has been the “pay for play” politicians that have made government the people’s god in order to take care of their needs instead of The Lord. The first two demarcations from the limits...

The second major threat to the Republic addressed by our Founders was when the people learned that they could vote for the resources of the treasury themselves. This would lead to an ever increasing entitlement expectation that no government could sustain, and it would ultimately break it financially. This has also entrenched a class of professional politicians elected by promising the people the resources of our national treasury. Such politicians are the most dangerous to any democratic form of government.

The first step in fixing a problem is to identify it. The second step is to understand it. Blaming others for a problem is not the way to fix a problem, but we may need to identify those responsible and how they caused it so that we can understand it. We must go deeper in understanding our national crises and those responsible for them in order know how to fix them. However, this is not just to assign blame. Our goal is to find solutions that will help us to not make the same mistakes again.

When Jesus was asked about the signs of the end of the age in Matthew 24 and Luke 21, He described the general conditions that have now come upon us and gave us three things to do:

         1) stand up

         2) look up

         3) rejoice!

These are the three main things that we should set our hearts to do each day. We must stand up for what we believe with courage and boldness. We do this by looking up to see the One who is on the throne above all rule, authority, and...
