Last week we laid out the first of the major crises threatening to destroy our Republic—judicial tyranny. The second major threat to the Republic addressed by our Founders was when the people learned that they could vote for the resources of the treasury themselves. This would lead to an ever increasing entitlement expectation that no government could sustain, and it would ultimately break it financially. This has also entrenched a class of professional politicians elected by promising the people the resources of our national treasury. Such politicians are the most dangerous to any democratic form of government.

The first step in fixing a problem is to identify it. The second step is to understand it. Blaming others for a problem is not the way to fix a problem, but we may need to identify those responsible and how they caused it so that we can understand it. We must go deeper in understanding our national crises and those responsible for them in order know how to fix them. However, this is not just to assign blame. Our goal is to find solutions that will help us to not make the same mistakes again.

         3) rejoice!

These are the three main things that we should set our hearts to do each day. We must stand up for what we believe with courage and boldness. We do this by looking up to see the One who is on the throne above all rule, authority, and...

The American Republic has arisen to become possibly the greatest nation in history in many basic ways. This has not happened without mistakes and tragedies that we must also acknowledge. We still have many flaws. Even so, we have been the dominant economic and military force in the world for over half a century and have rarely used it to dominate others. I say “rarely” because there have been times and places when we have used it to force our will on others. However, there has never been a nation that rebuilds its enemies after defeating them in war...

Virtually every crisis that the American Republic is now facing is the result of disregarding the Constitution, which is “the supreme law of the land.” The parallel in the church is striking. Virtually every crisis in the U.S. church is the result of a disregard of our founding document—The Bible. In both cases, the ultimate answer to fixing these problems is to return to the founding documents—studying them, knowing them, and adhering to them.

A complicating factor is the general deception. It is so pervasive that few can discern truth. Some of those screaming the loudest about...
