I want to address three major thrusts we are now seeing that are taking place in the body of Christ. The first is unity, and this is making unprecedented possibilities unfold for the church. Those with faith will seize the possibilities. We can expect those who live by fear instead of faith to begin fading away. Benjamin Franklin exhorted the original colonies before the Revolutionary War in America to “join or die.” This is now true for the church. However, the reverse is also true—join and you will live.

     It is considered that water is a fixed asset on the earth. It can change forms, but there will always be the same amount here. It is also believed that energy cannot be destroyed but simply changes forms. It is a theory that the same is true of wealth. If this is true, then no real wealth has been lost during this economic downturn. It has only changed hands.

     God knows where all the water is, where all of the energy is, and where all of the wealth is. Solomon said: “Will you set your eyes on that...

     It does not take a prophet to tell that the tone in America has been becoming more extreme lately. This has been especially true in the media, which has been trying to take the authority to dictate the conversation, not just report on it. Some in the media are so immature or unstable that they see anyone who deviates a little from their position as an extremist, which causes more extreme reactions on the other side. This is creating forces that are pulling on both the left and right wings of our eagle and will soon pull the eagle...

     If you are a student of history, you see how civilization fluctuates between extremes just like people do. The story of our U.S. government is fairly consistent, moving politically from the left and then back to the right. This is not necessarily a bad thing—an eagle needs both a left wing and a right wing to fly. Even so, if you are trending in one direction, moving to the left a little more each time than you do to the right, you will end up turning left overall. The same is true if you trend to the right.

     Almost every prophetic person I know stated that 2012 will be “the best of times and the worst of times.” I think this has proven true, but I think it will be increasingly true with each passing year. We are entering the most challenging times in world history and the best time there has ever been to know and walk with the Lord. As I have said too many times to count, we are living in the times of Isaiah 60.
