Now we come to the last verses in the Book of Revelation. These seem to be a summation of how to get ready for the end of this age (see Revelation 22:10-21):

       And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.

       Now we come to the last chapter of Revelation, Chapter 22:

       Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street (Revelation 22:1-2).

       This is a river, not a lake or a pond. As this water of life is God’s Word, this speaks of how His Word is always moving—it’s never stagnate. So also is the nature of all who are led by The Spirit.

Revelation is the only book in the Bible that we are promised a blessing just for reading. As it would be too lengthy to go into the meaning of all the details about the New Jerusalem described, let us read it and ask The Lord for insight. This is not just to understand it, but to take our place in it as one of the great souls who lived by faith in God and gave all to be a part of what He is building.
